Double Chocolate Matcha Cookies: an indulging snack

Doesn't life get a little better with the thought of freshly baked cookies? Lately I've been talking about Matcha to such an extent that I tend to pair it with everything. And today it's paired with Cookies! Yes, I have an amazing Double Chocolate Matcha Cookie recipe that I'd love to share with you all. Without wasting any time, lets get "cookie-ing".

Double Chocolate Matcha Cookies
Soothing green tea flavors paired beautifully with
semi-sweet chocolate gives out a classic combo. These cookies are irresistible, crisp on the outside, with a soft and chewy center and generously topped with chocolate chips. I must say, this is a combination made in heaven!
Consisting of 9 major ingredients like flour, green tea powder, baking soda, salt, butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and semi-sweet choco chips. I prefer adding brown butter instead of regular which adds up to a nutty flavor keeping the cookies moist and rich.

Lets get Cookie-ing: Recipe

Why you'll love these Cookies?
You will love these cookies from the first bite. Why? well because the sweetness from chocolate helps to balance out the earthiness from matcha, making this combination, a star!

1) This is a very versatile cookie, you can use both semi sweet or white chocolate for this preparation. I've tried both and it paired really well together.
2) The use of brown butter instead of regular was a 10/10 according to me. The cookie turned out to be as moist and gooey yet stayed crisp on the outside.
3) Ceremonial grade matcha can be costly, hence you can go for culinary grade matcha as an alternative. It generally has similar properties of the former in terms of color and flavors.
4) Best part, these are ready and out of the oven in less than 15 mins. Have them while they are still warm!

According to my experience, these cookies are very easy to make and the best part is that you can play with all the various types of add ons like addition of white choco chips, almonds, nuts, making them just green then dipping it in melted chocolate and many more possibilities. I'd like to say that these cookies are one of a kind and everyone should definitely try out this heartful Matcha-Chocolate harmony.

Coming to the very end of this vibrant segment, I'd like to say that Matcha is a very versatile ingredient that never disappoints. I have learned a lot about it and loved sharing it with you guys. I am very grateful to everyone who showed the energy and enthusiasm towards my content and recipes, just like Matcha! We'll definitely meet again with another delightful segment with the same excitement. Until then, don't forget to savour these Double Chocolate Matcha Cookies, as you will be definitely in for a treat!
